The Ptak Prize Global Case Competition will bring together students and young professionals from around the world to compete for the chance to win the title of Ptak Prize Global Supply Chain Case Competition winner and cash prizes.

This is the qualifier round for the final global case competition online on 14th December 2014. Winning teams will advance to the final round and a chance to win a 1000 USD and free Certified Supply Chain Analyst- CSCA/ Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt- CLSSYB certifications from ISCEA

How this works:

Rules

1.         This competition involves 3 stages. Stage 1 is an executive summary qualifier, stage 2 is the national level case competition and the final stage (for winners of the nationals) will be the global case competition.

2.         Registration for this competition requires you to be SCNext members (all team members must be members), please sign up on our website before you register here.

3.         The team size will be minimum of 3 members and maximum of 4 members. Member #1 while signing up will act as Team Leader and all communication with the team will be through the Lead. This person should also be the one sending out the solutions to us

4.         All the members may or may not from the same institute or company

5.         This is the qualifier round for the final global case competition online in December 2014. Winning teams will advance to the final round and a chance to win a 1000 USD and free Certified Supply Chain Analyst- CSCA/ Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt- CLSSYB certifications from ISCEA

6.         A member cannot register in more than one team

Round 1- Executive Summary

The teams need to write an executive summary on the topic “Dynamics of Logistics in the E-commerce industry”

1.      The executive summary should be of a maximum 500 words

2.      Font: Times New Roman, Font Size : 12

3.      Line Spacing: 1.5

We will announce the teams who qualify by email

Round 2- National Level Case Competition

On the event day, qualified teams will be emailed the business case and will have 1 week to work on it. Each group needs to identify the issues, solve the case, and create a PPT/PDF. This PPT/PDF needs to be emailed back to SCNext India Team. Detailed Instructions will be in the email participants get along with the case

Judges will evaluate team presentations based on the quality of these areas: analysis, presentation, Q&A, and overall performance. Each regions panel of judges will be comprised of experienced academic and business professionals. 

Submission instructions for the solution will be in the email that teams will get with the case. We will invite the top teams to Mumbai at our partner university NITIE to present their solution to a live panel of judges and audience. Top 2-4 teams will then be selected, qualifying to the Global Round in December 2014

Format of Submitting the Case

1.      The Case should be submitted in a maximum of 12 slides except the Title Slide and the Thank you slide. Executive summary slide is compulsory and is included in the 12 slides. You can have as many appendices as you want

Round 3- International Case Competition

Qualifying top 2 India teams from Round 2 will go on to the final global competition representing Asia to be held on December 14^th 2014. The format of Round 3 will be the same as Round 2 except that the participants will be competing on an international stage with some of the best professionals across the globe. This competition will be online
