Dr. Faisal bin Ahmed Al-Kadi is passionate about almost anything in supply chain management and entrepreneurship, both academically and professionally. Having worked and studied in many regions including: Spain, France, UAE, and his home country Saudi Arabia, he got exposed to various enriching experiences, best practices, and challenges. He believes good decisions could only be made when you have access to different perspectives; including the bad ones!
Professionally, he currently runs his “new ventures platform” Faiour Enterprises, based in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He normally spends his day there at evaluating new business opportunities in need of investment or seed capital, running existing subsidiary/JV ventures, or refilling his black coffee mug. Prior to that, he lead part of his family business conglomerate as a Chief Executive, mainly focused on logistics, auto parts, and heavy industry. He started his career at Motorola Inc., working as a Strategic Analyst among the telecom infrastructure team covering the Middle East and Africa region.
Academically, his main goal is to practically bridge the gap between the rigorous scientific methods and the everyday business reality; particularly in the fields of Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain Management. For example, he has co-authored a business case in the field of SCM that won a Pan-Europe award. He has also developed a 50+ countries study focused on the enabling factors affecting entrepreneurship. He has earned a Doctorate in Business Administration and an MBA from IE Business School (Madrid, Spain) and a BSBA from the American University of Sharjah (UAE).
Dr. Faisal Al-Kadi is also active speaker, lecturer, and/or board member at various not-for-profit initiatives. Some initiatives he took part in includes: the Saudi GEM Project (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor), Asharqiya Young Businessmen Council (AYBC), National Young Businessmen Committee at the Saudi Chambers, and the Middle East SME Forum.
